Winter Wonderland: 18th Nov-2nd Jan

London is one of the most magical cities to be in at this time of year, as you’ll no doubt already know if you’ve gone for a walk down one of the main shopping streets this week… the twinkling fairy lights have already been put up and there’s a twinge of excitement in the air! Make sure you check out the Harrods window display if you’re in town, but there’s something else on the horizon that is sure to get you in the festive spirit.

We’re talking about Winter Wonderland of course! Put on in Hyde Park each and every year (it’s celebrating its ten-year anniversary this year), this event has a huge amount of different activities and entertainment to keep you amused for hours.

You can go skating on the biggest open-air ice rink in the UK, check out a few circus shows, watch The Nutcracker on Ice, enjoy some incredible views of the city on the Giant Observation Wheel and have a go on more than 100 different festive rides and attractions.

And don’t forget that this is where you’ll find the largest German Christmas markets in the capital, with delicious food from all over the world and tasty mulled wine to keep you warm no matter what the weather’s doing.

New for this year is The Magical Ice Kingdom, a walk-through attraction that has been built from more than 500 tonnes of ice and snow. If you want to do something a little different while in London, this would be an excellent choice.
