It’s something we’ve known for a very long time here at Coaches Excetera, but it’s just been confirmed in a new report – London is in fact the best city to be found in the world.
Compiled by consultancy firm Resonance, the 2017 World’s Best City Brands Report saw London clinch the title thanks to its incredible universities and colleges, its amazing array of restaurants and what it has to offer in terms of luxury retail, as well as how multi-ethnic it is.
The top ten was made up of London, Singapore, New York, Paris, Sydney, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Tokyo, San Francisco and Toronto… so it’s great to see the Big Smoke coming top among such highly esteemed company.
It’s no surprise to us that London has come top of the list. After all, there’s so much to see and do here you can absolutely never be bored. Not sure where to start? Head to Primrose Hill when the sun is shining for some lovely views and a great day out, or make your way to Carnaby Street or the Kings Road for a spot of shopping.
From there, scoot over to Brick Lane for vintage clothes, costume jewellery and up-and-coming fresh designers, and then discover some true-blue East End pubs like The Mayflower along the river, or The Windsor Castle in Kensington which has a beautiful beer garden waiting to be discovered.
And if you fancy going on a tour of the city, why not follow the blue plaques around to see who and what you can discover? These tell the tales of the famous people who once lived in certain houses and it’s an incredibly fun way to spend an afternoon.
